The Sandbox is a disused playground. A stark, brutal and claustrophobic space, enclosed by tall, monolithic walls of stone. The weathering surfaces, indicative of a bygone era in which concrete was the material in vogue, now play host to lichen, leaking stains, and rusting metal fissures – scars from generations of neglect.
Presented as fourteen 460mm x 345mm giclée prints. An earlier version of this work was exhibited in June 2016 at The Old Truman Brewery, London.
